  • Qualifications:           
    Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, social work, counseling or a related field, Master’s Degree preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and record keeping skills
    Ability to work independently and be self-motivated
  • Five years’ plus experience working with at risk families and young children.
  • Five years’ plus experience with demonstrated program administration, staff leadership, and continuous quality improvement.
  • Valid Illinois driver’s license
  • Proficiency in technology
  • Bilingual applicants strongly desired

Reports to:  Assistant Regional Superintendent

Employment:  Full Time

Salary:  Commensurate With Experience

Job Description/Responsibilities:

  1. Provide measurable leadership and supervision to the Parents as Teachers (PAT) department
  2. Manage the Illinois State Board of Education’s Early Childhood Block Prevention Initiative Grant, inclusive of grant writing, reporting, budget design, fiscal monitoring and communication
  3. Oversee implementation of the Parents as Teachers program in accordance with PAT Essential Requirements, Quality Standards and Policies and Procedures
  4. Participate in local community collaborations to support the birth to third grade continuum
  5. Plan and implement department professional development and continuous quality improvement with measurable results
  6. Participate in the hiring process and subsequent orientation and onboarding of new employees
  7. Conduct reflective supervision and evaluation of administrative team
  8. Facilitate the Parents as Teachers Advisory Committee
  9. Monitor service documentation, data collection and report to correlative entities
  10. Develop and expand community partnerships and corresponding Memorandums of Understanding
  11. Ensure the maintenance of all necessary records and communication in a timely and efficient manner
  12. Interpret and analyze data to make informed decisions
  13. Organize and assist staff in accessing necessary technology, work space and supplies to effectively fulfill their responsibilities
  14. Work collaboratively with other Regional Office of Education departments
  15. Provide monthly progress updates to Supervisor and Regional Superintendent
  16. Complete other projects and responsibilities as assigned
