Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Parent Educator to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with families to provide education, support, and resources that promote healthy child development and strengthen family dynamics.
Duties
- Conduct educational workshops and one-on-one sessions for parents on topics related to child development, parenting techniques, and family dynamics.
- Administer initial developmental screenings
- Assess the needs of families and develop tailored action plans that address specific challenges they may face by using steps outlined in the PI Manual.
- Consult with program coordinator and other service providers to enhance the child/parent interaction, child’s development and family well-being
- Maintain accurate records of interactions with families, documenting progress and any referrals made for additional services.
- Complete all internal and external reports required to include results of reassessments, home visits, and reporting
Experience
- High School Diploma or GED (required)
- At least (2) years’ supervised experience working with young children/parents(required)
- Proven experience in child welfare, social work, or a related field is essential.
- Background in childcare or behavioral health will be considered a significant asset.
- Experience working directly with children and families in various settings is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse populations.
- Reliable transportation and proof of insurance
